00:00:01 – The Importance of Early Legal Advice
here’s the importance of having good legal advice and a lawyer involved at the very early stages of getting a business started. I think the significant takeaways are um these points.
00:00:16 – Lawyers Increase Entrepreneur Success Rates
first that a an entrepreneur who uses a lawyer has a much higher likelihood of success in their business than those who do not uh primarily because as we’ve always discussed entrepreneurs think that they want to have simple forms to get over legal hurdles where really what they’re looking for is advice.
and when they go to internet providers since there are not very many options to choose from they think that the advice is limited to just those options which is frequently wrong.
00:00:55 – Funding and Proper Documentation
second point is is that when entrepreneurs get to the point where they’re looking to add money into the uh business it’s typically going to come from one of two places: Banks or investors.
and Banks and investors always require good well-drafted incorporation documents and other foundational documents.
00:01:19 – Fixing Mistakes Costs More
third point was that it normally costs twice as much money to fix a problem that an entrepreneur has created through improper document creation than it does getting the documents created properly from the start.
a good analogy would be someone who goes on to the internet to research pharmaceutical prescriptions and they look up a prescription for one set of symptoms and they find uh a drug that would be perhaps suitable to take care of those symptoms.
then they look up another drug for a second narcotic to take care of other symptoms and they think okay these are the Two drugs that I need to take care of my two set of symptoms.
the problem is is that they do not re um realize what the potential adverse effects are of using the two drugs at one time and many times it’s the same case with legal documentation.
00:02:18 – Outsourcing Legal Work
fourth um legal work probably is one of the easiest things to Outsource for an entrepreneur.
you can’t be a CEO a COO and a CTO and a lawyer all at the same time so best to go outside to look for someone that you have a relationship with and that you can trust and that you’re confident that you’re going to get good solid advice.
00:02:40 – Closing Music

Conclusion: Why Entrepreneurs Need a Lawyer
This video makes it clear that the importance of legal advice in business cannot be overstated. From preventing costly mistakes to ensuring proper documentation for funding, entrepreneurs benefit greatly from professional legal guidance. As Andy Gale of Gale & Vallance emphasizes, outsourcing legal work allows business owners to focus on growth while having peace of mind that their foundation is built correctly.
